Originally from Grundy, VA Talena Williams holds an undergraduate degree from Emory & Henry College, a Master’s degree from Virginia Tech, a Physician Assistant degree from James Madison University and a Doctorate of Medical Science from Lynchburg University.

Her career in sports medicine began as a graduate assistant certified athletic trainer with Virginia Tech and was employed as the first ATC for William Byrd High School with Roanoke County schools from 1997-2000. She worked for George Mason University for one year while applying to PA schools. Upon graduation from PA school in 2003, she worked as a Physician Assistant for 12 years and also coordinated sports medicine services. She successfully founded and managed an athletic training services company, On-site Sports Medicine which was later acquired by a local hospital.

She joined The Steadman Clinic in Vail, CO as a practice manager for the world-renown orthopedic surgeon Dr. Marc Philippon. Summer 2019, she was promoted to Vice President of The Steadman Clinic.

Talena is a member of several professional organizations including NATA and AAPA. She lives in Colorado and Virginia with her husband Adam and son Tyson. A lover of all things Halloween, her favorite team sports are football and wrestling and enjoys skiing and water sports in her free time.
